Why take Group Voice Lessons?
Group Voice Lessons are an amazing way to improve your
singing voice and practice your performance skills.

As a college student, one is usually only permitted one private lesson class per semester.
Otherwise, all classes are in a group setting. The reason for this is because the benefits of group voice lessons are astounding. Let' go through some of the Benefits of Group Voice Lessons right now.

In a group voice lessons, students get a more structured lesson plan
Each week a lecture focused on techniques will be be followed by student performances and their
ability to apply these technical concepts.
For many, a more focused, structured approach can help to secure a more solid foundation for singing.
In private lessons, students often fall behind on their focus and might come to their lessons with a plan to "wing it." This rarely happens if there's an audition or performance coming up - but if you're learning to sing, sometimes a structured setting is the better path when you're in a cumulative classroom setting.

The Master Class Setting
When students hear another student attempting a technique, it's usually more obvious when a student is able to make the vocal adjustment. Example? Opening your jaw to sing a certain note might feel awkward, but when you see the change implemented in another singer on the same song you're singing, you might take it more seriously and realize how much better they sound with the adjustment. Likewise, are they doing something awkward with their hands? You'll be sure to break out a mirror and make sure you're not doing the same thing!

Accountability
.
There's something about working in a group that motivates you to practice and work harder. Think of it like a Run Club. If others are moving fast, there's a chance you'll pick up your pace to keep up with everyone else. Although it doesn't' work all, for majority of people this will keep you from falling behind.

Singing in groups help to elevate one another in areas such as pitch, volume, tone and simple work ethic.

Performance Skills
Let's face it: private lessons do not help you to practice in front of an audience. A group class allows you to experiment with the feel of a live audience, yet with your peers so you feel comfortable taking risks. As much as you sing alone, everything changes when there's an audience and even if you're an amateur doing karaoke you'll experience nerves and the need to steady your breath. You might even find when you're singing in front of others, you move in awkard ways, or sweat too much or get a shaky tone. All of these unpredictable issues can be learned to control through pratice in front of group.

Consistency through Affordability

As someone who's always learning new things, I assure you, there's always proof that you use it, or lose it.
Singing is a whole body, coordinated process or muscles and emotions.
Private lessons are often expense and prevent students from returning to weekly lessons.
Group Lesson allow for weekly study. Weekly student usually results in frequent practice in preparation for the class. Again, like a gym membership, it's highly important that you're always flexing your singing muscles if you want to improve. The cost and structure of group voice lessons will guarantee this consistency.
