The 5 Week Performance Bootcamp

Service Description

This course is designed to get you singing consistently and starts with a commitment to yourself and to your fellow singers. *Note: All classes are asynchronous learning except for the Week 1 Zoom Meet up and Week 5 Live Performance. See Dates and Times below) In Week 1, we’ll hold a "Zoom Meetup" so you can put faces to the people you’ll be sharing this experience with. (These are the peers you’ll be accountable to.) For the next 4 weeks, you’ll make one simple commitment: submit one singing or instrumental video each week. It doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to be submitted. Then, in Week 5, you’ll take one of the four songs you’ve worked on and perform it LIVE and in person for the group. The weekly videos are your opportunity to practice, receive feedback, and build toward that final performance. But you’re not just submitting videos. You’re sharing your performance with a community of fellow music lovers. You’ll receive encouragement and constructive feedback from your peers, learn by listening to others, and have the opportunity to give thoughtful feedback in return. You’ll have a deadline, a group of other musicians doing the work alongside you, and a reason to keep showing up. OH and one more thing to keep you accountable :-) Miss one week? Life happens. No problem. Miss two weeks? You’ll be removed from the group chat. Course fees are non-refundable. Sound harsh? YES. Is it intentional? ALSO YES. Because accountability works. Sometimes having people expect you to show up is exactly what you need to stop waiting for inspiration and start building the habit of singing. This isn’t about being perfect.
