We recently added guitar lessons at Venice School of Music, so lately we've been focused on easy songs to sing with guitar lessons. Our guitar teacher recently joined us in our Singing for Fun class and it worked out wonderfully especially on songs like Anti-Hero & As it Was.

Are you looking for songs that are easy to sing-a-long with while you play guitar or perhaps a friend joins you?

1. Let's start with a song like "All the Small Things" by Blink 182. Simple powers chords and also a melody that's limited in range- making is to sing as well. What do I mean by limited range?A musical scale consists of 7 notes and some melodies are using the scale 2 or 3 times over so the range goes across 23 note for example. In this song you probably only have to sing 6 or so! Great for emo hearts everywhere!

2. If you'd love a beautiful melody that's romantic and hopeful, check out Stand By Me by Ben E. King.

This chord progression is used in countless songs so once you get the hang of it you'll likely

be able to sing other songs. Just get used to those strumming patterns and you're good to go. WHAT A SONG!

3. Ain't no Sunshine What an amazing song! Also easy to fit into your ranges with singable melodies and pretty simple chords on guitar once you get the hang of it.
