Do you need to build confidence singing?
Do you feel nervous when you sing- even when you're alone???? Afraid the neighbors might hear you singing "The Wizard and I?" FYI, your'e not alone. I encouner this every day with my music clients & want to share some tips to build confidence singing
Here are a few tips to help your get out of those fears so you can get out and sing!
Take a deep breath. Seriously. Get out of your head and into your body. This will stop the negative thoughts from running through your head.
Gentle Warm ups: Take it easy, don't push, stretch, make a little noise here & there. You don't have to begin agressively. I usually do lots of hums and lip trills in the morning as soon as I awake or hop into the shower.
"I am a Singer" Repeat this over and over to yourself. I say this all of the time. Stop telling yourself there's a right and wrong way to do things that you saw on Tik Tok and convince yourself you've already got the instrument within you. (Because you do)
Take voice lessons to build confidence!
As a vocal coach, I can assess your voice and determine the best methods and tools for you to improve your sound. Perhaps you need to release tension in your breath or improve your posture. Sometimes having an external ear to listen can make you feel better about yourself & assure you that you've taken the write steps to sing better
What if I'm afraid to take a voice lesson?
As a professional vocal coach, I'm accustomed to working with all levels of singers. I'm especially aware of the nuances and sensitivies of singing for other people. I'm happy to help and have ways to make you comfortable and we will take time to make sure you're ready to set your voice free in the lessons.
